Red Fox Forestry was established in 2021 and was born out of a love for the natural environment. We specialize in creating sustainable, low-maintenance pollinator gardens using plants that are native to Ontario. Why native plants? Native plants are adapted to the local environment so are naturally better suited to thrive in the conditions your garden presents. These hardy and beautiful plants are also a valuable source of food and shelter for pollinators.
In addition to garden creation and maintenance, our other services include small tree removals, tree planting, obtaining tree removal permits, and supervising construction where and ISA Certified Arborist is required.
We proudly service Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and Oshawa as well as York Region and Toronto.
Christen Dschankilic - Owner and Operator

Christen completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Toronto. She completed a Master’s of Forest Conservation in 2016 and an Honours Bachelor of Science majoring in Biodiversity, Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology in 2014. She is also an ISA Certified Arborist and Registered Professional Forester.
Christen has previously worked in various roles for government agencies, private firms, and non-profit organizations. She has implemented stewardship plans, invasive plant species management, erosion control plans, and completed native species plantings for government agencies, consulting firms, private landowners, and community stewardship groups.
Christen decided to start her own company to best use her expertise and knowledge in the field of urban forestry.
